Rare piece by designer Sue Wong, renowned for recreating the glamorous atmosphere of the 1920s and 1930s through luxurious fabrics and lavish embroidery. 

Crafted from silk, this dress features intricate artisanal work: applications of beads, chains, and circular metallic pendants. These small discs, in a dark silver tone with a circumscribed surface, resemble ancient coins or talismans, interspersed between chains and embroidered threads. Movement causes them to vibrate and shine, creating a spectacle of light and shadow.

Sue Wong’s signature is present in every detail, from the weight of the layered embroidery to the fluidity of the silk, evoking the theatricality of silent film divas and the splendor of the Art Deco era. The result is a piece with high visual impact and extreme ornamentation, typical of the “haute glamour” for which the designer became known.
